Way to no show CBL...6 teams in and only 1 champion...despite having the advantage of unlimited OBL's.   Funny how you guys keep removing all posts on your CBL forum...looks like you're good at giving out all the trash talk...just can't take it.  Next time, keep your mouths shut and let the kids play the games on the field first so you don't look like such idiots!!!<br>

regardless of how many CBL teams won, getting 6 teams in out of 7 games is quite an accomplishment.  And why does everyone need a built in excuse?  OBLs??  I didnt stay for all the games, but would you rather have OBLs or bigger kids?  There is no answer to that question because it comes down to the individual kid.  That Pikesville 7-9 team was big, bigger than Montgomery Village, so do you think having unlimited OBLs is an advantage?

I know or hope that none of the people talking like this are coaches, because it is all about the kids.  But what was up with dude in full gear on Pikesville's sidelines???  THATS REDICULOUS!!!  Some people are stuck in the past, this is about the kids on the field now, some people just gotta have the attention and spotlight on them I guess.

Congrats to all the State Champs that won on Saturday, and to all the teams that made it that far, because for every team that got there and lost, there are dozens of teams that would have loved to be able to play on that day.

You are 100% correct...it is about the kids, and getting there is a hell of an accomplishment.  The problem is all the rediculous trash talking that came from multiple CBL folks in the weeks leading up to the championships, including bragging how "the rules have now changed to your favor"...meaning the unlimited OBL's.
All the kids that participated should be proud, and all the winners should cherish the accomplishment.  I just hope, in the years to come, all the stupid trash talking stops...kids read this forum as well as the CBL forum!!!!!

I agree CaptinD, I wish there was a way to filter the kids from seeing this because we know they jump on all these sites.

As a Skins fan, talking trash about the Cowgirls is as much a part of the season as tailgating, but when we talk about the youngins, they soak up what we do as adults like sponges, and the last thing we want is for that to transfer onto the field.

I love the support though for our teams, leagues, and even state, but we have to know where to stop.

Congrats to all the kids that played good ball all year.  Now I guess the offseason has officially begun, I know I cant wait until next summer...

Your thread alone is a subtle way of trash talking! I am a part of the CBL and it was a good year for the CBL! We represent the only CBL Div 1 team that won (Unlimited) and since we are used to being there, we take it all in stride!  We have not made any noise on any site!  It would be easy to do! The "U" went "Back to Back!"

We love good competition and Hamilton was a great competitor! We need them to continue to have that success so that we will have a goal to strive for! Kind of like (Florida State vs Miami) or (Ohio State vs Michigan) We have a hard time finding teams that are willing and able to give us good work during the pre season and beyond!  That's why we stay humble so that maybe somebody will grant us the right to use their program to measure our schemes. In our world, there aren't a lot of guys out there that are willing and able to step up in the Big League of Unlimited Football!  Where the Real Players Play! I have been following all of the debates on weights, structure, and OBL's on other site's!  There's nothing like being able to show up with an I.D. card and getting on with the business of football!

Strap'em up folks!  Train hard in the off season! Heal and stay healthy and we will see you next year!

TruGator!

Please know what you're talking about before you assume something and make an ass of yourself. That "dude" that you are referring to is ALL about the kids on the field, it has NOTHING to do with him reliving anything. He is one of our coaches who followed our team into the postseason to support them and served as kind of a mascot and the boys love him. That's what it is. Your assumption and speaking on situations you have no knowledge of is what's RIDICULOUS.

that, LadyT, is called my opinion, not an assumption, since you are a Lady I "assume" you know the difference between the two.  And it is still my opinion that it is rediculous, not for the fact that he supports the kids, I think that part is great, but for all the stuff he was doing and saying while on the sideline, that I did not include in my post.

I was standing behind the Pikesville fans on their side, so I heard all the stuff he was talking, and saw him walking towards the MV fans taunting them, so KNOW YOUR FACTS homer.  And if he is "ALL about the kids", whats he doing walking back to the stands every 2 minutes?

I love the "co-signer" factor on here too, CaptinD, I'm trying to buy this bridge in Brooklyn, but need someone to back my application, you bitin on this too???

Dude, can you read?? I said he's like a mascot for the team and anyone who has attended a high school, college or professional game knows that a mascot taunts the opposing teams' fans and keeps the home team pumped up. It's all in fun! I know he didn't say anything extremely mean or rude because first, I was THERE on the first row so I heard everything loud and clear and second, it's not in his nature. I'm a Pikesville PARENT so I have my facts straight, HOMER, whatever the hell that means. I also know the meaning of the word opinion and while you may think it's ridiculous, your statement that he is attempting to relive something by dressing up in full gear was the ASSUMPTION I was referring to. It was an unsubstantiated notion which makes it an assumption.

stupidity CaptinD, really? I make observations, thats all, and if I have an opinion on it so be it, you disagree because obviously you are aligned with big slim on the sideline, so that makes it stupid?  My 6 year old daughter has more sense than that

Rest assured that I can read ladyt, so I guess you think its suitable to have taunting in youth sports then, which explains it all.  I guess we just have to agree to disagree on this.  Look around the country in the news, all the violence that erupts because of taunting on the sideline etc, if you think its appropriate at the youth level, I truly feel sorry for you.  Especially from a coach on the sideline?!?! Come on now, be objective in this as I am.  And "Homer" means that you will agree with anythign your hometeam says, so if cuz was like the world is flat, you'd be on board with that, despite conventional wisdom.

hawkman, where did you come from dude? You just earned the Homer and co-signer stamp as well

yall are hypocrites, look at all yalls comments "Shut your trap", "way to no show" etc. etc.  Now, who is/are the immature ones?

Riight, so I guess he ran on the sideline with the MV kids and taunted them??? Nobody taunted the kids! As far as the violence goes, any ADULT who was that offended by a mascot or anything that occurs during a kids' game that is not a direct insult or attempt to injure another kid needs to check THEMSELVES because really, at the end of the day, it's a kids' football game and it's not that serious! I've seen coaches make complete fools of themselves, throwing footballs, caps and yelling at the kids on the sideline because they were losing, one even blatently called my son out by jersey number and insulted him on the field and you want to gripe about something that's done in the spirit of good nature and fun, something that keeps the spirit of our team and fans up?? C'mon son! You've got to do better than that! Next thing you'll be saying is that the cheerleaders shouldn't be allowed because they are taunting the other team and the fans were offended!
